to our country, and understand the consequences to an extent that it bothers us to see the very misconceptions that lead to the current travesty. So when someone says something like "I got free this or free that" I would hope you are able to understand why we feel it is no longer permittable to just "let it slide" as if it is harmless stupidity. Current events dictate and prove that it is not "harmless".People speak out about stupidity here all the time, why would you think a whopper like thinking tax returns aren't your own money to begin with would get a pass? While we are discussing tangents, allow me to go off on one: You guys are going to love the VAT tax the democrats/progressives/socialists have coming your way. I have to sign/fill-out and file 3 sheets of paper and turn them in with the receipts to an office every single time I buy ANYTHING and want to avoid paying the extra 20%. Of course it can only be applied to purchases over $250, so that means I have to do all my buying in $250-minimum amounts or else I end up paying it like the rest of these suckers. I'm sure they'll come up with a PC way to brand it, with a snazzy name to make it ok, like the kitten-children-cuddly gratuity payment. No one is against kittens or children or cuddling are they?
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism", they will adopt every principle of our socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without ever knowing how it happened.... I no longer need to run on the Socialist Party ticket because the Democrat Party has now adopted our platform." --Norman Thomas, 1944 Socialist Party Presidential Candidate "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." --Winston Churchill
